CRCT Week

Here are a few things to remember this week:

  • Make sure your child is on time!  Students that arrive after 8:10 will have to sit in the Media Center until testing is completed for the day.
  • Students should get to bed early.
  • Students should eat a healthy breakfast (try to include some protein).

There will be no homework or spelling this week.  It is still important to read each night, but we will not be logging books this week.

Encourage your child to do his/her best!

*Everyone that completed the Harriet Tubman project did such a nice job!  I will be sending them back home with a scored rubric at the end of the week.  I was so impressed!!

*Many parents have asked me about CRCT info.
The test is scheduled for April 21 - May 1.  First graders only test for 3 days (2 hours per day).  The remaining days will be used as make-up days.  We begin testing promptly at 8:15 each of those 3 mornings, so it is extremely important that your child is on time.  Late students will be sent to the Media Center to wait until their class has completed testing for the day, and then they will complete a make-up test at a later time.

CRCT practice website:  https://www.georgiaoas.org

At the beginning of the year I sent home a form for the website that included your child's individual ID number.  This is needed in order to log in.  If you no longer have this number please email me and I will send it to you ASAP.  The password for the site is "education"

Check the blog later this week for a full list of topics to be covered before Spring Break
