It's hard to believe this school year is coming to an end! We've been enjoying writing poetry in our classroom, so I thought I'd post some fun websites to keep you going!

Here are two very helpful websites to find facts about your salamander. Remember to write down facts in your own words! All projects are due Friday, February 15.
January's Book of the Month is Dogteam by Gary Paulsen. Check out this cool link to learn more about the author and dog team racing. Be sure to check out Mr. Paulsen's journal where he writes about his adventures!
It's hard to believe the holidays are almost here! Our classroom holiday party will be on Friday, December 21, from 11:15 to 12:15. Our room mom, Regina White, has sent home a couple of informational letters regarding our party. Please contact her if you are interested in donating any food or money for our party. ginanichelle@yahoo.com
Please remember that your child can bring 21 small items to give to their classmates. Items could include pencils, stickers, bouncy balls, etc.

1. Please return Fernbank permission slip and donation as soon as possible. We will be going on our trip Wednesday, November 14.
2. Friends and Family lunch is Thursday, November 15. We have a different lunch time! Join us from 10:55 - 11:25 in the cafeteria, and have your family photo taken if you like.
3. Online Assessment letters were sent home in the Tuesday Red Folder on November 7. Please keep this in a safe location and use it to practice for the CRCT online. The letter has your child's specific log in number required to use the service.

*November 7 - 30, Aluminum Can Drive(See info in Tues. Red Folder)
*Thursday, 11/15, Family & Friends Day(A photographer will be on site to take family pictures for $12.00)

Welcome to our very first blog post! I am glad you found us! I hope this will be a beneficial tool to help us communicate more effectively. I also want to use this blog to post evidence of the wonderful learning we are doing in class. We may have to send home permission forms for photos to be posted online, so look out for those in the coming weeks.
