We have had a wonderful start to this school year! We spent the first week getting acquainted, learning routines, and working on student assessments. Thanks to all of you parents, we successfully turned in all of the Cobb County paperwork from our class! Since we were the first class to do so, we will receive a frozen treat from Mrs. Parks.
I will include subject information later, but there is some important information I would like to share now.
- We will have a spelling test each Friday. (This week will be Sort 2.)
- We will have a DLR test each Friday. (This week is Week 2. They are to complete Mon. & Tues. work on Monday nights and Wed. & Thurs. on Tuesday nights. This gives plenty of time to study the correct answersl)
- Agendas are to be signed every day. I will check them every morning for any notes.
- Tuesday folders are to be signed (on the sheet on the left side) and returned by Thursday of each week.
- Although I strongly encourage nightly reading, the students will not keep a reading log.

- August 25th - Math Night - 6:00-7:00
- August 31st - Picture Day
- September 8 - Parent Orientation/Curriculum Night - 6:00-8:00
Needed classroom items:
- Clorox wipes
- White posterboard
- Dry erase crayons
- Ziploc baggies (sandwich & gallon)
