Springing Into Learning
I hope everyone is staying warm in this cool weather! Our students are doing so well with working together and preparing for our test in April. Thank you for all your support at home and for sending the change in for our Relay for Life campaign.
Students are also doing a great job with Accelerated Reader and are showing nice interest in reading for pleasure!
Topics of Study:
Reading - reading for details and enhancing comprehension skills, reading poetry
Math - fractions, measurement, problem solving, estimating
Language Arts - we are practicing our proofreading skills and working on using quotation marks correctly as well!
Health - Nutrition and healthy foods, eating balanced meals
Social Studies - Everyone did a great job on their Black History Month projects! Thank you for your help preparing those with your children. They did a super job sharing!
Science - We are finishing up the study of the Solar System and planets.
UPCOMING EVENTS-
Math Day is March 28th. Students will be rotating through various classrooms to conduct hands-on activities to review several of our concepts. They are sure to have a fun day learning and reviewing.
Our field trip to the Cobb Energy Center is March 31st. Please return your signed permission slips. We are seeing the play, "If You Give A Mouse A Cookie."
Please ensure you check your child's "Go Home" folder every night for pertinent information and reminders.
